Projects
During my PhD, I founded and continue to run a community organization, Caring through Crafting, making scrubs and other items needed in hospitals, schools and care homes during covid, and we continue to create crafts for those in need. I also founded and run a community group to help host Ukrainian people in the UK following the invasion by Russia.
During this time, I also became a member of the UK EAUC Carbon Coalition Advisory Board, and the selection panels for carbon offset procurement for UKLUPC and Imperial College London. Previously, I have been a school governor.

In 2009, I founded Sing for the Earth, a campaign involving a community group that made a short film that I took to the UN climate negotiations and advocated for negotiators to reduce the limit of global warming limit from 2degC to 1.5degC. And Open Orchard, a fruit tree planting project in schools and community spaces. As a young post-grad, I assisted a number of short research projects with Oxford University on parrots, and dolphins. I also worked for IFAW on an anti-whaling campaign in the Azores and the Caribbean.

When I'm not volunteering, I love caring for our shared pony, and have previously enjoyed many competitive team sports, including representing GB at the Ultimate Frisbee European and World Championships.
